Hi, I’m Pete - an industrial designer who loves creating thoughtful, beautifully crafted products. I see the world as a collection of puzzles to solve. Whether it’s figuring out how to make something work, refining a design for elegance, or cracking the challenge of delivering real value to customers, I thrive on turning complexity into simplicity.

I enjoy blending creativity and technical know-how, there is nothing more satisfying than bringing an idea to life. From hands-on prototyping to digital problem-solving, I believe great design happens when curiosity meets craftsmanship.

When I’m not immersed in design, you’ll usually find me renovating an old house. Alongside Will, we create meaningful, functional solutions.

Hi, I’m Will - a designer, engineer, and unapologetic perfectionist based in Switzerland.
You can find me living between mountain and lake, almost in the oblivion riding my motorcycle while drinking Swiss milk, because you know, it’s so good!

I love creating cool, precision-driven stuff that blends creativity with engineering.
I thrive at the intersection of craft and technology whether it’s fabricating something tangible in the workshop or doing advanced digital modelling pushing pixels on a screen.

To me, it’s all about turning ambitious ideas into beautiful, functional realities.

With Pete, we are an effective team.

Let’s build!

mmD is design studio established in London in 2023 and split between England and Switzerland with a second office based in Montreux, Switzerland.

Pete and Will both have a deep sensitivity for technical elegance, conceptual precision, and functional beauty. Our path blends engineering, product design, systems thinking, prototyping, micro-entrepreneurship, photography and strategic foresight.

Design approach

We design objects, systems, and experiences starting from an invisible principle: making logic, form, and meaning speak the same language. Behind each project lies an attempt to resolve subtle tensions between efficiency, clarity, and emotion. Our approach is both analytical and intuitive, architectural and experimental — we map, we model, we deconstruct, we reconstruct.

Median cognitive profile

Systemic, metacognitive, and branching in structure. We tend to think in patterns rather than sequences — tracking ideas across multiple layers of abstraction, and connecting short-term actions to long arcs of intention. We naturally map contexts, detect structural inconsistencies, and model how things interact across time, scale, and constraint.

This way of thinking lets us move between the technical and the conceptual, the functional and the philosophical — often holding them in tension until a coherent form emerges. It’s how we prototype, how we design, and how we decide.

Our key philosophy
• We value precision over perfection, intention over volume.
• Good design is a form of respect: for time, for matter, for the people who engage with it.
• Form is never just about appearance — it’s logic, tension, and memory made visible.
• We are not chasing novelty; We are looking for coherence — between purpose, mechanism, and emotion.

What we are looking for now

Collaborations that are sharp, honest, ambitious, and human. Work that carries meaning — beyond just the object.
